NTS is a Carrier-neutral Procurement Provider of IT Solutions

National Tech Solutions was founded over 20 years ago by Michael Alf in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to building NTS, Michael’s original aspiration as an IT professional was to provide superior technology solutions to customers, while also serving as a resource for how technology can be an asset for organizations and businesses. But after spending four years in direct sales for large corporate IT companies, Michael determined that working for a single carrier is not the most efficient and cost-effective way IT services can be packaged and sold. There was a better way.

The lesson was two-fold: First, trying to make a single service provider technology work for every client is not in the client’s best interest. It is too rigid of an approach. And second, this one-size-fits-all model was not conducive to sustaining long-term relationships with clients. With these lessons at the forefront of our mission, National Tech Solutions was formed as a carrier-neutral procurement provider of technology solutions.

 

WHO WE ARE

NTS helps clients design proactive IT solutions to support their organizations through a customizable portfolio of services. We are fully integrated with our partners with advanced tools, resources, and project management to deliver best in class service. Our team is staffed with experienced carrier-neutral sales engineers possessing a deep understanding of our services and the IT industry at large. We are purposefully seated on the client-side of the table, working to achieve the same goals. At no additional cost to our client, our role is to evaluate what technology partners are the best fit for our client’s organization.

We provide comprehensive or a la carte services: Data & Voice Service, SD-WAN, Cybersecurity, Contact Center, UCaaS, Cloud and Consulting Services. And just as IT best practices continue to evolve, we continue to grow our offerings to meet client needs.

As an illustration, for eight years NTS provided in-house, full-service MSP offerings to clients. However as services became broader, we determined that NTS could simply not be the best at supporting everything. Accordingly, in 2018, we rebranded our MSP practice and created RocketMS. The sole focus of RocketMS is to manage physical desktop computers. Seemingly straightforward, this was an area that was not a focal point for most Managed Services Providers, and presently represents one of the most vulnerable devices in any organization’s network. Through this process, NTS was able to get back to doing what we do best, while also spawning a new company that brings sharp focus to a complex IT solution.

 

How We Work

Since NTS does not bill our clients for our services, we are able to provide them the same — if not demonstrably better — rates than had they gone direct. Repeat: We do not charge our clients. We are compensated by our technology partners for business that is sold through NTS. By providing a no-pressure buying experience for clients, we are enabled to focus time and resources on our ultimate goal: creating long-term and productive relationships with our clients.

We believe in transparency. If we do not have a solution that works for our client, we do not hesitate to report that we are not the best fit, and then work to assist them in the selection of a vendor appropriate to the task. Throughout our 20-year run, NTS has grown and our business has evolved. To ensure our clients are receiving the best services in the market, we remain committed to meeting the demands of an ever-changing industry with innovative and scalable IT solutions.
